Description

- Create and update process plans for assigned parts

- Attend design reviews to clarify part quality expectations

- Use mold flow to prepare internal tool kick-off specification sheets (DPFP) for the assigned tools

- Prepare and update visual control charts

- Attend T0 and T1 trials at tool shops

- Develop and optimize injection-molding processes for the assigned parts

- Attend customer CV build events

- Work with QE to generate and maintain PFMEA and other process documents

- Trial tools and document results in Trial Summary

- Prepare condition standards and startup work instructions

- Confirm part appearance after graining

- Prepare condition standards and startup work instructions

- Run high volume trials to validate process meets target cycle time and defect ration

- Provide training and process support to production

- support prototype assembly trials

- Troubleshoot process issues and implement countermeasures

- Implement process changes and update process plans

- Kaizen process to eliminate waste and reduce cost

- Work with outside suppliers to improve process performance

- Make sure all processes practice JKK

- Work in a safe manner and maintain 5S

Qualifications

- Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or minimum two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

- Minimum three years in the automotive industry
