Description

- Project lead for installation of automated equipment

- Responsible for all mechanical and electrical inspection documentation on new equipment

- Maintain a documented weekly summary of completed work

- Plan and maintain an overtime schedule of upcoming and uncompleted projects. This schedule will be reviewed and approved by management

- Report any manpower and disciplinary actions to management

- Maintain a monthly work schedule work schedule of upcoming and uncompleted projects that will be shared with all departments

- Provide technical advice and assistance  to maintenance personnel, contractors, etc.

- Assist in developing procedures and standards to control various project issues

- Complete cost analysis and maintain a project's budget

- Project scheduling

- Negotiating project costs that may include equipment, materials, and labour rates

- Configure control strategies to increase plant automation

- SCADA and PLC Programming for a variety6 of PLCs including Omron, GE Fanuc, Toshiba, and Allen Bradley SLC 5

- Complete yearly budgeting

- Prepare a spare part recommended list for new equipment installs

- Present factory automated solutions to management

- Work in a safe manner and maintain SS

-  Train personnel in performance of job tasks

- Report any unsafe activities within the company to management

- Assign daily activities to members within the automation group

- Lead automation group meetings to brainstorm for ideas and strategies on suggested and approved projects

- Maintain job costing for projects which should include components and personnel

- Schedule supervision for project work to be completed within TG Minto Corporation

- Submit a daily project work summary to management

- Conduct yearly evaluations of members within the automation group

Qualifications

- Have relevant mechanical and/or electrical qualifications (trade or associate diploma)

- Have experience as a supervisor or team leader in a technical group in an industrial or manufacturing plant

- Ability to communicate with skilled trades at all levels of experience and management

- Project leadership experience in a manufacturing environment

- Ability to exercise balanced judgement in evaluation situations and making decisions

- Required to be able to life or move up to 60 lbs.
